Today we are celebrating PVC piping but not in the way you may think. PVC pipes are great for funnelling water about the place but they also have real value as a storage solution.
To show you just how handy PVC pipng can be, we have curated this list of awesome PVC piping storage hacks.
1. Portable knife holders
Make a knife container out of PVC pipe and two caps. Simply glue a cap on one end of the PVC pipe and use the other cap as a lid. Be sure to mark the unglued cap with an X so you know which end to open.
2. Versatile tool rack
Create a quick, custom tool rack by gluing PVC piping to a spice rack. This is perfect for storing smaller DIY tools like chisels, screwdrivers, files and pencils.
3. Plastic hideaway
Forget faux rocks and welcome mats, use PVC piping to hide your spare house key! Sure this secret is now exposed to Google-savvy thieves but this tip was too cool to be kept quiet.
4. Organise shoes
This PVC shoe rack not only tucks shoes away neatly, it creates an eye-catching display. It’s a ridiculously clever idea and definitely a project many of us on the team are considering attempting.
5. Sticky situation
Use PVC piping in the workshop to store caulking products. When stored horizontally caulking products can be dispensed much more easily and storing them in a stack saves tons of space.
6. Curls made simple
Store hair curlers on the inside of a bathroom cabinet with PVC piping. This solution is also applicable to hair straighteners though you will need to stick a cap to the underside to prevent the straighter from slipping straight through the pipe.
7. Toothbrush holders
Here is a great solution for those with bathrooms that have zero counter space. Create storage space for toothbrushes by mounting PVC piping to the wall or inside of a cabinet door. This solution is quick and affordable and it looks fabulous.
8. Display wine
We’ve never seen PVC piping look this spiffy. This modern wine holder is made entirely with PVC piping proving that affordable materials need not look cheap or daggy. It’s a great project for those looking for a useful and aesthetically pleasing way to store their booze.
