Make An Ornament Wreath

With their vibrant colours and eye-catching shimmer, simple ball ornaments can create a stunning Christmas wreath. Choose a variety of wine and champagne hues as shown, or try experimenting with different colour combinations, such as turquoise, green and silver.

This wreath is about 38 cm (15 inches) diameter once finished.

Materials List

Assorted colours and sizes of small ball ornaments with attached wires
30 cm (12 inch) wire wreath form and same-size
Circle of stiff felt, in a coordinating colour
Floral tape
Glue gun and glue stick
Craft wire
Wire cutters to cut wires
Ruler
Scissors

Step 1

Hold a group of five to seven ornaments in your hand, positioning the ornaments in a tight bunch. Twist the wires together to hold the ornaments in place.

Step 2

Repeat with more ornaments to create enough bunches to cover the front and sides of the wire wreath form. Wrap the twisted wires on each bunch of ball ornaments with floral tape.

Step 3

Attach bunches of ball ornaments to the wreath form with wire, positioning them as close as possible to each other and covering the entire front and sides of the wreath.

Step 4

Glue the circle of felt to the back of wreath to help conceal the wire ends. Let dry. Use scissors to cut out the centre of the felt circle, cutting as close as possible to the wreath.

Step 5

Cut a 15 cm (6 inch) length of craft wire. Thread this wire around the wreath form at the back of the wreath. Twist ends together to form a loop to hang the wreath.
